This is a 1963 edition USGS 7.5-minute topographic map of the Evanston quadrangle, printed in 1964, and the sheet is in good condition on thick stock. It depicts a dense stretch of Chicago’s North Shore, taking in Evanston, Skokie, Wilmette, and Winnetka, with portions of Chicago along the southern edge and smaller communities including Kenilworth and Glencoe; the sheet is entirely within Cook County and runs along the Lake Michigan shoreline. Researchers studying mid-century urban geography, or anyone with roots in this corridor of the metropolitan north side, will find the street-level detail and lakefront topography genuinely useful.
