This USGS 7.5-minute topographic map is a 1963 edition printed in 1965, in very good condition on thick stock with only light handling and a single midsheet horizontal foldline. Covering ground about 20 miles south of Chicago in Cook County, the quad area takes in Harvey along with Chicago Heights, Dolton, Oak Forest, Flossmoor, and Glenwood among other communities of the south suburbs. It captures this cluster of industrial and residential towns as they stood in the early 1960s, a detailed record of the built-up landscape spreading south from the city. The back of the sheet carries a color-pencilled map title.
