This USGS topographic map is a 1909 edition printed in 1947, and the physical sheet is in good condition, never folded and printed on thick stock. Its coverage takes in a stretch of southeastern Wisconsin around the lake country west of Milwaukee, with the quad area including Oconomowoc, Pewaukee, Hartland, and Delafield across Waukesha, Dodge, and Washington counties. The 1909 base was surveyed in 1907 under geographer W.H. Herron and captures the chain of lakes and small towns that made this part of the state a well-known summer retreat in the early twentieth century. The map area shows no wear or markings, though the collar carries minor wear and a red pencil notation in the upper corner.
