This 15-minute USGS topographic sheet is a 1905 edition, printed in 1912, and survives in very good condition — never folded, smooth and flat on thick stock, with a flawless map area. Covering the countryside around Perry about 40 miles southeast of Buffalo, the quad spans parts of Wyoming, Livingston, and Allegany counties and takes in Warsaw, Castile, Silver Springs, and smaller communities such as Pike, Gainesville, and Portageville. Surveyed in 1903 and engraved in 1905, it predates the modern highway system, showing the overland travel routes, rail lines, and early placenames of the era; it comes from an uncommonly well-preserved collection, and the reverse carries printed reference material on reading the map.
