Printed in its year of first publication, 1940, this USGS 15-minute topographic sheet is in very good condition, lightly handled with foldlines, on thick stock. It takes in the Gore Range and the Blue River in the Colorado high country about 75 miles west of Denver, spanning parts of Eagle, Grand, and Summit counties and including portions of the White River and Arapaho National Forests and the Eagles Nest Wilderness. Based on 1931 and 1933 field surveys, it shows the Blue River valley before the Green Mountain Reservoir was built, so the water later impounded there does not yet appear.
