This is a USGS 7.5-minute topographic map of Vail West, Colorado, a 1970 edition printed in 1973 and in Very Good condition. The quad sits in Eagle County and takes in the towns of Vail and Avon, along with portions of White River National Forest and the Eagles Nest Wilderness to the north. Mapped at the start of the 1970s, it shows Vail in its early years as a ski resort, only about a decade after the mountain first opened, making it a useful reference point for anyone with a connection to the valley.
