This USGS 7.5-minute topographic map of Georgetown, Colorado, is a 1957 edition printed in 1962, in good condition on thick stock with only light handling, foldlines, and a pencilled title notation on the back. The quad sits in Clear Creek County about 38 miles west of Denver, taking in the old silver-mining towns of Georgetown and Silver Plume along with portions of Arapaho National Forest and the Mount Evans Wilderness. Drawn before Interstate 70 came through, it shows the pre-Cabin Creek hydro landscape and every known structure and residence at the time of survey, a look at these mountain towns as they were in the 1950s.
