This USGS 7.5-minute topographic map is a 1970 edition printed in 1973, a vintage sheet in good condition that was lightly handled and carries foldlines. Built on a 1958 through 1970 aerial and field survey, the quad takes in a stretch of Summit County that includes Frisco, Dillon, Silverthorne, Breckenridge, and Keystone, with Dillon Reservoir and the Tenmile Range within its boundaries, along with portions of Arapaho National Forest and the Eagles Nest Wilderness. This is high country at the heart of Colorado’s ski and mountain-town region, and the map records it just as the area was taking its modern shape in 1970. It is printed on thick stock and comes from the vintage map collection of David R. Wortendyke of Boulder, Colorado; the collar shows a small inventory stamp, a yellow highlight mark in the lower right corner, and left and right edges trimmed to a one-inch width.
