This USGS 15-minute topographic map is a 1952 edition printed in 1969, in excellent condition on thick stock and, having never been folded, kept smooth and flat with a flawless map area. It takes in a stretch of Death Valley National Park in Inyo County, California, with the coordinates covering ground near Stovepipe Wells and extending into the Death Valley Wilderness. The 80-foot contour interval speaks to the dramatic relief packed into this corner of the valley, where the terrain drops and rises through some of the most extreme country in the Southwest. The clean collar and unmarked sheet make this a strong candidate for framing.
