This USGS 15-minute topographic sheet is a 1958 edition, printed in 1963, and its condition is excellent – very lightly handled, never folded, and smooth and flat on thick stock. Straddling the Montana-Wyoming line, the quad takes in the northwest corner of Yellowstone National Park along with parts of Gallatin National Forest and the Monument Mountain Unit of the Lee Metcalf Wilderness, with the community of Grayling within its boundaries. Drawn from a 1947 through 1958 aerial and field survey with an 80-foot contour interval, it maps the high, mountainous backcountry along Yellowstone’s edge in fine relief.
