A 1951 edition printed in 1956, this USGS 15-minute topographic sheet is in excellent condition, very lightly handled and never folded, on thick stock. The quad sits about 15 miles northeast of Bozeman in Montana’s Gallatin and Park counties, taking in part of the Gallatin National Forest along with the mountain country its 80-foot contours describe. Drawn from aerial and field survey work in 1948 and 1951, it captures the rugged terrain north of the Bridger and Bangtail ranges, and because the sheet lies flat it would frame well.
