This 15-minute USGS topographic sheet is a 1956 edition printed in 1969, in very good condition, lightly handled and never folded. The quad straddles the Idaho-Montana line about 15 miles east of Salmon, taking in high country of the Beaverhead Mountains along with parts of the Salmon and Beaverhead National Forests, with Baker among the places within its boundaries in Lemhi and Beaverhead counties. Mapped at a 50-foot contour interval from a 1954 and 1956 aerial and field survey, it traces the ridgeline that carries the state border through this stretch of the Continental Divide. Having never been folded, the sheet lies flat and would take well to framing.
