This 7.5-minute USGS topographic map is a 1968 edition printed in 1970, in very good condition with a single midsheet horizontal foldline and no wear in the map area. The quad straddles the Illinois-Indiana line just south of Chicago in the vicinity of Hammond, taking in Calumet City along with Lansing, Harvey, Chicago Heights, and smaller communities such as Glenwood, Thornton, and Phoenix. It captures the dense industrial fabric of the Calumet region at the tail end of the 1960s, and the printing is on thick stock that has held up well over the years.
