A 1967 edition photorevised in 1980 and printed the same year, this USGS 7.5-minute topographic sheet has been kept in very good condition, lightly handled and never folded on thick stock, with a flawless map area. Covering a 7-by-9-mile stretch of Mohave County in northwestern Arizona, the quad takes in Kingman and New Kingman-Butler along with the community of Harris, framed between the Hualapai and Cerbat Mountains. The underlying survey work predates the construction of Interstate 40, capturing the road network around Kingman as it stood before the interstate reshaped travel through the region.

This vintage sheet is a 1967 edition of the Kingman Arizona USGS topographic map revised in 1980 using aerial photography. It is an original 46-year-old 1980 United States Geological Survey print in very good condition.

The Kingman 7.5-minute map shows cities and towns, roads, paths, railroads, utilities and energy infrastructure, rivers, creeks, elevation contour lines, public land survey lines, county, state, and other administrative boundaries as they existed at the time of the survey in 1965 and 1967. All known structures (houses, businesses, churches, schools, barns, cabins, etc) are also shown.

A VALUABLE HISTORICAL RECORD
This map is from the 7.5-minute series, the most detailed series that is widely available from the USGS. The 1967 Kingman map is a valuable historical record for the area. It contains some placenames and features that have been dropped from more recent maps.

The map was photorevised in 1980. Any features that changed or were added between the original edition year of 1967 and the photorevision year of 1980 are overlayed in purple. The purple overlay provides an excellent view of the fast-growing and changing areas within the quad boundary.
