This USGS 15-minute topographic map is a 1947 edition printed in 1978, and the sheet is in excellent condition—lightly handled, never folded, on thick stock with a flawless map area and a clean collar. Covering a stretch of Yavapai County about 25 miles west of Prescott, the quad takes in Sycamore Creek and part of the Prescott National Forest across rugged central Arizona high country. The 50-foot contour interval traces the folds and drainages of this forested backcountry, and the sheet comes from the vintage map collection of Art Christiansen of Tempe, Arizona.
