This USGS 7.5-minute topographic sheet is a 1967 edition with photorevisions through 1975, printed in 1976 on thick stock and kept in excellent condition, never folded with a flawless map area. Covering roughly 7 by 9 miles of Pima County about 22 miles northwest of Tucson, the quad area takes in Marana along with Picture Rocks and Rillito. Compiled from a 1966 and 1967 aerial and field survey and updated through 1975, the sheet records the farm country and desert of the Santa Cruz valley as it stood in the mid-1970s, and having never been folded it lies flat for framing.

This vintage sheet is a 1967 edition of the Marana Arizona USGS topographic map revised in 1975 using aerial photography. It is an original 50-year-old 1976 United States Geological Survey print in excellent condition.

All known structures (houses, businesses, churches, schools, barns, cabins, etc) are also shown.

A VALUABLE HISTORICAL RECORD
This map is from the 7.5-minute series, the most detailed series that is widely available from the USGS. The 1967 Marana map is a valuable historical record for the area. It contains some placenames and features that have been dropped from more recent maps.

The map was photorevised in 1975. Any features that changed or were added between the original edition year of 1967 and the photorevision year of 1975 are overlayed in purple. The purple overlay provides an excellent view of the fast-growing and changing areas within the quad boundary.
