This USGS 15-minute topographic sheet is a 1957 edition, printed in 1963 on thick stock, and is in excellent condition, very lightly handled and never folded. The quad takes in Tucson and South Tucson along with the surrounding communities of Tanque Verde, Drexel-Alvernon, Littletown, and part of the San Xavier Indian Reservation in Pima County, drawn from a 1946 aerial and field survey. It offers a snapshot of Tucson and the areas south and east before suburban expansion, when the population was a fraction of today’s, with historic travel routes, rail lines, and placenames marked across the valley.
