This Army Corps of Engineers topographic map is a first-year 1943 print, printed in its year of first publication, and survives in very good condition on thick stock, lightly handled and never folded. Drawn from a 1934 through 1939 aerial and field survey along the Grays Harbor coast of Washington, the quad takes in Moclips, Copalis Beach, Pacific Beach, and part of the Quinault Indian Reservation, in the vicinity of present-day Ocean Shores. Notably, the survey predates the existence of Ocean Shores, so the map shows this stretch of Pacific coastline before that resort community took shape. The map area is flawless, with library stamps in the bottom collar.
