Printed in its first-published year of 1947, this Army Corps of Engineers topographic sheet is in very good condition, lightly handled and never folded on thick stock. The 15-minute quad takes in a stretch of the Olympic Peninsula’s northern coast along the Strait of Juan de Fuca in Clallam County, Washington, with the community of Clallam Bay within its boundaries and Neah Bay lying to the west. Drawn from a 1935 and 1947 aerial and field survey, it records this corner of the peninsula in the years just after the war, and the never-folded sheet with clean map area would frame well.
