This USGS 7.5-minute topographic map is a 1974 edition printed in 1977, in very good condition on thick stock and never folded. Covering a 7-by-9-mile stretch of south-central Illinois about 11 miles south of Vandalia, the quad spans parts of Fayette and Marion counties and takes in the town of Patoka along with Vernon and Shobonier. The map area is flawless and the collar shows only very minor wear, and having never been folded, this vintage sheet lies flat and would frame cleanly for anyone with roots in the Patoka area.
