This USGS 15-minute topographic map is a 1947 edition printed in 1963, in very good condition on thick stock and never folded. The quad straddles the Mississippi River along the Illinois-Missouri line, taking in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on the west and the towns of Jonesboro, Anna, and Tamms in Illinois, with part of Shawnee National Forest inside its boundaries. Drawn from a 1946 and 1947 aerial and field survey, it captures both banks of the river and the low country on either side; the only mark of handling is a library stamp in the lower right collar.
