First published in 1945, this sheet was printed in 1973 on thick stock and is in very good condition, lightly handled with foldlines. Covering a 7-by-9-mile stretch of the Front Range roughly 32 miles southwest of Denver, the quad takes in the community of Bailey in Park and Jefferson counties along with portions of Pike National Forest and the Lost Creek Wilderness. The mountain country here, with 50-foot contours climbing through the national forest, gives the map its character; it comes from the vintage collection of David R. Wortendyke of Boulder, Colorado, and carries a small inventory stamp and a title highlighted in yellow on the lower collar.
