This USGS 7.5-minute topographic map is a 1967 edition printed in 1975, and the sheet is in very good condition with only light handling and a single horizontal foldline across the middle. It takes in the high country southwest of Leadville in Colorado’s Lake and Pitkin counties, including its namesake Mount Massive along with portions of the White River and San Isabel National Forests and the Mount Massive Wilderness. At 14,000-plus feet, Mount Massive is one of the tallest peaks in the state, and the 40-foot contours trace the rugged terrain of the surrounding wilderness in detail.
