It takes in the country just north of Nashville-Davidson, covering the area around Goodlettsville, Hendersonville, and Millersville across Davidson and Sumner counties. Surveyed from 1950 to 1952, before the suburban growth of recent decades, it records historic travel routes, river crossings, rail lines, and the houses known at the time – a look at the area north of Nashville as it stood before Old Hickory Lake existed.
