This USGS 7.5-minute topographic map is a 1950 edition with 1984 photorevisions, printed in 1984 and in very good condition, lightly handled and never folded. Covering roughly 7 by 9 miles in Rutherford County northeast of Murfreesboro, the quad area takes in the community of Walterhill along with parts of Smyrna and the shoreline of J. Percy Priest Lake. The underlying survey dates to 1944 through 1950, well before the Nissan Assembly Plant came to this stretch of middle Tennessee, so the sheet records the countryside as it stood beforehand. Printed on thick stock, it carries a previously repaired edge tear and library stamps in the bottom right collar, while the map area itself is flawless.
