Printed in its year of first publication, 1983, this USGS 7.5-minute topographic sheet is in excellent condition, never folded, with only a very light crease in the lower half. It covers a stretch of Maui’s windward coast about 20 miles east of Kahului, taking in the Keanae area and the deeply cut valleys and streams that mark this wet, eastern side of the island. The 40-foot contours trace the steep terrain that defines this section of the Hana coast, and because the sheet has never been folded, it lies flat for framing.
