Volcano Hawaii Mountain View Fern Forest USGS Topo Map 1981

$50

Printed in its year of first publication, 1981, this USGS 7.5-minute topographic sheet is in very good condition, lightly handled and never folded, with a flawless map area. Covering an 8-by-9-mile stretch of the island of Hawaii about 21 miles south of Hilo, it takes in portions of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and the Hawaii Volcanoes Wilderness, and the quad area includes the community of Volcano along with Mountain View, Fern Forest, and Glenwood. Mapped at a 20-foot contour interval from decades of aerial and field survey work between 1954 and 1981, it traces the rugged volcanic terrain of the park’s northeastern reaches in fine detail. Having never been folded, the sheet lies flat and would take well to framing.
