This USGS 7.5-minute topographic map is a 1983 edition printed in 1984, and the sheet is in very good condition, never folded with only very minor handling wear on thick stock. Covering the Waianae coast on the leeward side of Oahu, the quad area takes in the communities of Waianae, Nanakuli, Maili, Makaha, and Makaha Valley along Hawaii’s dry western shore. Bathymetric sea depth contours extend the detail offshore, showing the ocean floor dropping away from the coastline as clearly as the map traces the ridges of the Waianae Range inland.
