This USGS 15-minute topographic map is a 1906 edition printed in 1920, and the sheet survives in very good condition with light handling, publisher folds, and light age-toning across a canvas-backed body divided into nine folding panels. Sitting about 30 miles west of Evansville, the quad spans the corner where Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky meet, taking in Ridgway and New Haven along with the smaller communities of Herald and Cottonwood across Gallatin, Posey, Union, and White counties. Each panel carries a numbered 5×5 red grid, with cells running roughly a square mile, and the canvas backing paired with that grid setup makes it a practical tool for close study of this river-country stretch of the lower Wabash and Ohio.
