First published in 1912, this sheet was printed in 1944 and survives in very good condition on thick stock, never folded and only lightly handled. The quad covers a stretch of southern Pennsylvania across Lancaster and Chester counties, taking in Quarryville, Strasburg, Willow Street, Gap, and Oxford, with the field survey behind it dating to 1910 under geographer R.B. Marshall. This is farm country in the heart of the Pennsylvania Dutch region, and the flawless map area and never-folded sheet make it a clean example, carrying only a library stamp in the collar and edge protectors along the borders.
