A 1953 edition printed in 1955, this USGS topographic map is in very good condition, lightly handled and never folded on thick stock. The quad sits in the vicinity of Knoxville in eastern Tennessee, its 7.5-minute area spanning parts of Blount, Knox, and Sevier counties and taking in Seymour along with the communities of Neubert and Marbledale. The surveying credit to the Tennessee Valley Authority reflects the mid-century mapping effort across this part of the state, and the sheet’s flawless map area shows only minor collar wear, including a repaired edge tear and a small pencilled notation.
