Printed in its year of first publication, this 1950 USGS 15-minute topographic sheet is in very good condition, lightly handled and never folded on thick stock. Covering a stretch of southwestern Montana roughly 35 miles east of Butte, the quad spans parts of Broadwater and Jefferson counties and takes in portions of the Helena and Deerlodge National Forests along with the Black Sage Wilderness Study Area. With no towns within its boundaries, the map depicts rugged, undeveloped mountain country drawn from 1947 and 1950 aerial and field survey work, and the flawless map area and clean collar make it an easy candidate for framing.
