This USGS 7.5-minute topographic map is a 1945 edition, printed in 1956, and the sheet is in very good condition: lightly handled, never folded, on thick stock. Covering an area roughly 21 miles south of Denver across Douglas and Jefferson counties, the quad takes in Roxborough Park and Louviers, with part of Pike National Forest reaching into the mapped terrain. The 50-foot contour interval traces the rugged transition where the plains meet the Front Range foothills, the tilted rock formations that give the Roxborough area its distinctive character. Because the sheet was never folded and sits flat, it works well for framing.
