Eastlake Colorado Westminster Thornton USGS Topo Map 1967

$39

A 1965 edition printed in 1967, this USGS 7.5-minute topographic sheet is in good condition, lightly handled with foldlines, and is on thick stock. It takes in the area north of Denver now built up as Thornton, Brighton, and Broomfield, running from roughly 100th Avenue north to 168th, with the quad boundaries also including Northglenn, Todd Creek, and the community of Eastlake in Adams and Weld counties. Surveyed by air and field in 1964 and 1965, it records the landscape before I-25 and E-470 crossed it, when much of the ground was still undeveloped, and it comes from the vintage map collection of David R. Wortendyke of Boulder, Colorado.

FEATURES SHOWN ON THE MAP
The Eastlake 7.5-minute map shows cities and towns, roads, paths, railroads, utilities and energy infrastructure, rivers, creeks, elevation contour lines, public land survey lines, county, state, and other administrative boundaries as they existed at the time of the survey in 1964 and 1965. A reddish tint is used on this sheet to indicate urban areas where only landmark buildings are depicted. Outside of those areas, all known structures (houses, businesses, churches, schools, barns, cabins, etc) are shown.
