This USGS 7.5-minute topographic sheet is a 1968 edition with 1975 revisions, printed in 1977, and is in very good condition, lightly handled and never folded. Covering a 7-by-9-mile stretch of Pima County southwest of Tucson, the quad area takes in Sahuarita, Summit, Tucson International Airport, and part of the San Xavier Indian Reservation. The 1975 revisions capture the desert edge of the Tucson metro area as it stood in the mid-1970s, with 10-foot contours detailing the terrain across the quad. Having never been folded, the sheet lies flat and would frame cleanly.

This vintage sheet is a 1968 edition of the Tucson SW Arizona USGS topographic map revised in 1975 using aerial photography. It is an original 49-year-old 1977 United States Geological Survey print in very good condition.

All known structures (houses, businesses, churches, schools, barns, cabins, etc) are also shown.

This map is from the 7.5-minute series, the most detailed series that is widely available from the USGS. The 1968 Tucson SW map is a valuable historical record for the area. It contains some placenames and features that have been dropped from more recent maps.

The map was photorevised in 1975. Any features that changed or were added between the original edition year of 1968 and the photorevision year of 1975 are overlayed in purple. The purple overlay provides an excellent view of the fast-growing and changing areas within the quad boundary.
