This USGS 15-minute topographic map is a 1949 edition, printed in 1967, and the sheet is in very good condition, lightly handled and never folded. The quad straddles the Pennsylvania–New York line about 70 miles south of Buffalo, taking in parts of the Allegheny National Forest and the Allegany Indian Reservation across Cattaraugus, McKean, and Warren counties, with the community of Westline within its boundaries. Drawn from field survey work done in 1935 and 1936, it records the Allegheny River valley before the Kinzua Dam was built, showing a landscape that now lies beneath the Allegheny Reservoir. Printed on thick stock, the sheet carries a library stamp in the right collar and has edge protectors applied.
