This USGS 15-minute topographic map is a 1947 edition printed in 1958, in good condition and printed on thick stock. Covering a stretch of Potter County about 15 miles southeast of Coudersport, the quad takes in the Hammersley Wild Area and Patterson State Park, a rugged piece of Pennsylvania’s northern hardwood country. The sheet was never folded and shows no wear across the map area, with edge protectors applied and a library stamp in the right collar; drawn from a 1945 and 1947 aerial and field survey, it records this remote forested terrain and its 40-foot contours in fine detail.
