This 7.5-minute USGS topographic map is a 1965 edition printed in 1967, in very good condition on thick stock, lightly handled and never folded, with a flawless map area. Drawn at 1:24,000, it takes in the country northeast of downtown Memphis within Shelby County, including Bartlett and the area around Egypt. Surveyed by aerial and field methods in 1963 and 1965, the sheet predates much of the area’s suburban expansion and shows the proposed route of Interstate 40 alongside older travel routes, river crossings, rail lines, and placenames. There are library stamps in the bottom right collar.

A reddish tint is used on this sheet to indicate urban areas where only landmark buildings are depicted. Outside of those areas, all known structures (houses, businesses, churches, schools, barns, cabins, etc) are shown.
