This USGS 7.5-minute topographic map is a 1965 edition, printed in 1967, and the sheet is in excellent condition — lightly handled, never folded, smooth and flat, with a flawless map area. Covering a 7-by-9-mile stretch of Shelby County in the vicinity of Memphis, the quad area takes in the communities of Ellendale and Cordova along with Bartlett and Lakeland. Drawn from a 1963 through 1965 aerial and field survey, it records this northeastern edge of the Memphis area as it stood in the mid-1960s, before much of the later suburban growth reshaped the county. Library stamps appear in the bottom right collar; having never been folded, the sheet would frame well.
