Oso Washington Lake Cavanaugh USGS Topo Map 1977 Vintage
$41
This USGS 15-minute topographic sheet is a 1956 edition printed in 1977, and the sheet has been kept in very good condition, lightly handled and never folded with a minor repaired edge tear in the upper right collar. Set in the Cascade foothills about 55 miles north of Seattle, the quad spans parts of Skagit and Snohomish counties and takes in the community of Oso and Lake Cavanaugh, along with portions of Mount Baker National Forest and the Boulder River Wilderness. The 80-foot contour interval reflects the steep, forested terrain that rises off the North Fork Stillaguamish valley, the kind of country this stretch of the western Cascades is known for.

A VALUABLE HISTORICAL RECORD
Maps from the 15-minute series for the continental United States are no longer produced or printed by the USGS and original prints are becoming increasingly difficult to find. They are a valuable historical record for an area, as they contain many placenames and features that have been dropped from more recent maps.
