This USGS 7.5-minute topographic map is a 1973 edition printed in 1977, and the sheet is in excellent condition, having never been folded and remaining smooth and flat. It takes in part of the San Juan Islands in San Juan County, Washington, about 62 miles north of Seattle, with Lopez Pass giving the quad its name. Drawn from a 1972 and 1973 aerial and field survey at 1:24,000 with 20-foot contours, it maps the tidewater and low relief of this island country, its collar carrying a library stamp and a very small inventory notation in the lower right corner.
