This USGS 15-minute topographic map is a 1957 edition printed in 1975, in very good condition on thick stock, lightly handled and never folded. Covering rugged terrain in Snohomish County about 50 miles northeast of Seattle, the quad takes in part of the Mount Baker National Forest and the Boulder River Wilderness, with the small communities of Verlot and Silverton and the town of Darrington within its boundaries. The 80-foot contour interval reflects the steep, mountainous country of the North Cascades, where the map traces river valleys and high ridgelines across a largely forested landscape. Having never been folded, the sheet lies flat and would frame well.
