Plantation Key Florida Islamorada USGS Topo Map 1973 Vintage

$38

This USGS orthophoto map is a 1971 edition of the Plantation Key quad, printed in 1973 on thick stock and in very good condition. Covering a stretch of the Upper Florida Keys in Monroe County, the quad area takes in Islamorada, Plantation Key, Windley Key, and Tavernier, along with portions of Everglades National Park and the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Wilderness. An orthophoto sheet like this pairs the topographic framework with an aerial photographic base, so the reefs, channels, and island shorelines of this part of the Keys read as they looked from the air in the early 1970s. The sheet has been lightly handled, with a single horizontal foldline across the middle and a pencilled title notation on the back.
