Printed in its first year of 1949, this USGS 15-minute topographic sheet is in very good condition, lightly handled and never folded on thick stock. It covers a stretch of Yavapai County in central Arizona’s high country north of Phoenix, taking in the community of Mayer along with portions of Prescott National Forest and the Castle Creek Wilderness. The 50-foot contours trace the rugged terrain of this part of Arizona’s central highlands, and the clean, unfolded sheet would frame well.
