This USGS 15-minute topographic sheet is a 1950 edition printed in 1966, in flawless condition on thick stock and never folded, smooth and flat. Covering roughly 14 by 17 miles of Yuma County in southwestern Arizona about 25 miles northeast of Tacna, the quad area takes in Dateland, Horn, and Kofa. Drawn from a 1927 aerial and field survey, it predates Interstate 8 and records the historic Fort Horn Military Reservation, older travel routes, rail lines, and the placenames and structures known at the time. It comes from the vintage map collection of Art Christiansen of Tempe, Arizona.
