This USGS 7.5-minute topographic map is a 1955 edition printed in 1968, in very good condition on thick stock and never folded. It takes in the eastern side of Brownsville in Cameron County, at the southern tip of Texas along the Rio Grande, with the quad area including Cameron Park, South Point, Reid Hope King, and Villa Pancho. Drawn from aerial and field survey work carried out between 1930 and 1955, it records the area before the current suburban buildout, when Brownsville had a population of around 40,000. The flawless map area and never-folded sheet make it a strong candidate for framing.
