A joint USGS and Army Corps of Engineers topographic map, this is a 1943 edition printed in 1956 and in good condition, on thick stock and never folded. Covering a stretch of the Brazoria County coast about 57 miles south of Houston, the quad area takes in Lake Jackson, Freeport, and the town of Jones Creek, along with part of the San Bernard National Wildlife Refuge near the Gulf. The 5-foot contour interval reflects the flat coastal terrain here, where the Brazos and San Bernard rivers reach the sea. The map area is flawless and the collar shows only minor wear, with no markings.
