A 1947 edition printed in 1953, this joint USGS and Army Corps of Engineers 7.5-minute topographic sheet is in very good condition, lightly handled and never folded. It covers a stretch of central Texas about 65 miles north of Austin, taking in Copperas Cove and the surrounding country across Coryell and Lampasas counties. Printed on thick stock with a flawless map area and no markings or edge tears, the sheet dates to the years when the growth of nearby Fort Hood was reshaping this part of Texas, and its clean, unfolded condition makes it a good candidate for framing.
