West Brownsville Texas Brownsville USGS Topographic Map 1959
$40
This USGS 7.5-minute topographic map is a 1956 edition printed in 1959, in good condition on thick stock, moderately handled but never folded. It takes in the western side of Brownsville in Cameron County at the far southern tip of Texas, with the Rio Grande running through the sheet and the Mexico side of the river left unsurveyed. The blank ground across the river marks the international border as USGS drew it, a plain reminder that the mapping stopped at the water’s edge. A few edge tears in the left and right collars have been stabilized with transparent archival tape on the back of the sheet.
