This joint USGS/Army Corps of Engineers 7.5-minute topo of San Antonio West is a 1953 edition printed in 1959, in very good condition on thick stock and never folded, with only some handling wear in the bottom and lower right collar. Covering the western side of San Antonio in Bexar County, the quad area takes in Leon Valley, Balcones Heights, and Lackland Air Force Base. Surveyed by aerial and field methods in 1952 and 1953, it captures the edge of town before the westward push of the suburbs and the modern freeway system, with the boundary of development sitting out around Balcones Heights.
